Techtextil 2007 Sets New Records

The 12th Techtextil – International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens in Frankfurt am Main – closed its doors on June 14, 2007 after setting another host of new records: more exhibitors (1,086 from 43 countries), more visitors (23,200 from 80 countries) and almost 100 percent satisfaction among trade visitors. "Techtextil and Avantex are and will remain the world's leading trade fairs for their segments. The range of innovative textiles for the various technical applications to be seen this year was more extensive and dif­ferentiated than ever before. The sector is facing a quantum leap in the industrial use of technical textiles,” said Michael Jänecke, Brand-Manager, Techtextil and Avantex.

The economic situation in the sector was rated as being better than ever before: 88 percent of exhibitors and 89 percent of visitors share this optimistic outlook that, in the case of German visitors, leapt to 91 percent from 75 percent and, in the case of foreign visitors, to 87 percent from 77 percent in 2005.
